SUNCON was the first furniture trade show held in South Florida. Hundreds of furniture manufactures got together and participated in this event bringing designers, architects and buyers all into one place. The trade show was held at Sunlife Stadium. CEU courses were available for those who wanted to earn credits. The event was created by volunteers of the IIDA South Florida Chapter. Corporate Design Choice was one of the few exhibiting local furniture dealers at the event.
All booths were sold out at this event. The days exhibit and educational events were followed by a cocktail hour with drinks and catering provided by the chefs at Sunlife Stadium. An event not to be missed! Many will be looking forward to SUNCON 2014.
This year I attend the 25th Annual Festival of the Trees event held at the Coral Gables Museum. The event is hosted by Florida International University - Interior Architecture Department. The event is a silent bid to auction off artistically designed Christmas trees to benefit FIU’s Interior Architecture Department. The trees are designed by various architect and design firms in Miami displaying their creativity and design.
